"A Soft Place To Land" on Jaxson Harlan Radio

Jaxson’s Ministry is pleased to introduce Brian K. Hahn — shop owner, mechanic instructor, former police sergeant, editor, and the voice behind the ministry’s podcast.

Brian started in construction as an electrician. When a deep downturn slowed the work, he was taken on as a police officer with the Camrose Police Service. He later served five years as a Sergeant with the Louis Bull Police Service, protecting a First Nations community. Having studied Theology at the Canadian Bible College in Regina, Saskatchewan, on occasional Sundays the Louis Bull Church asked him to preach from their pulpit, in full uniform. While serving in Camrose he also worked as an attendant and driver with the Camrose Ambulance Service.

From public service he moved into media. He worked with the Christian ministry Living Light News as their Sales Manager, then as Managing Editor of the weekly Leduc–Wetaskiwin Pipestone Flyer. After the newsroom he joined Industrial NetMedia in Leduc, marketing and providing custom applications for oil-industry and business clients.

He has owned and operated an electronics store and a computer store. Today he owns Circuit Cycle & Sports in Millet, Alberta, and directs the Central Alberta Bicycle School. The shop repairs, restores, and builds bicycles, including vintage work and e-bikes. The school trains professional bicycle mechanics, publishes the CABS Student Training Handbook.

That same mix of trade, service, and faith is what listeners hear on the podcast: a man who has wired buildings, worn a badge, run a newsroom, built businesses, and still turns wrenches in a small-town shop.
