Treasured Heart Joins the Music Ministry
Small-town talent from Biggar, Saskatchewan — now on Jaxson Harlan Radio.
Jaxson Harlan Ministry is introducing a new voice to the catalogue.
Treasured Heart is an easy Christian rock group out of Biggar, Saskatchewan — a prairie town of about two thousand on Highway 14, west of Saskatoon. They are not a Nashville import. They are church-gym and community-hall musicians who learned to play where the winter is long, the grain elevators still matter, and Sunday night practice has to finish before the janitor locks the side door.
They join Jaxson R. Harlan and Savannah Grayce on the Gravel and Grace station. Country remains the backbone of the radio. Treasured Heart is the rock lane: electric guitar, bass, keys, drums, and stacked backup vocals for the other six days.
Their first single is Did I Know? (Sword Through My Soul) — a song from Mary’s mouth about raising a child when you do not get the ending first. It pairs with the Word message of the same theme.
The band
Treasured Heart is five people. They grew up in and around Biggar. They still call it home.
Mara Dalman — lead vocals
The voice at the center. Warm alto. She sings like someone who has sat in a quiet house after the children are down and still had a question left in the room. Mara is the one carrying Mary’s line in Did I Know?
Caleb Reeve — electric guitar
Clean arpeggios on the verses, light overdrive on the chorus, no interest in making a hymn sound like a bar fight. Caleb started on a second-hand Strat in a basement on Main Street and never left the habit of playing under the lyric instead of over it.
Jonah Loewen — bass guitar
The pocket. Warm, rounded, locked to the kick. Jonah is the reason the songs sway instead of rush. If the groove gets busy, he is the one who pulls it back to Biggar time.
Hannah Berg — keyboard and backup vocals
Pads, piano, a little organ when the bridge needs it. Hannah also stacks the harmonies. She is the first voice you hear answering Mara on “Did I know.”
Reid Sifton — drums
Easy beat. Snare on 2 and 4. He learned on a kit that used to live in a church balcony and still plays like the room is small. No double-kick. No parade fills. Reid keeps the songs human.
Backup vocals are Hannah, Caleb, and Jonah — three parts, not a choir wall.
Why they are here
The ministry did not go looking for a brand. It went looking for people who could tell the truth in a different pocket than dark country.
Treasured Heart can do that. They are small-town talent with a Scripture spine. They know the hidden years of raising a child. They know what it is to stand in a sanctuary that seats two hundred and still mean every word. Biggar’s old line is New York is big, but this is Biggar. That is the point. The Gospel does not have to come from a coast to be worth leaving on in the truck.
